DeCan Gun Dogs, LLC is pleased to offer a one of a kind male Brittany puppy for sale. His registered name is DeCan's Jammin' Jasper and he is 13 weeks old. His daddy is DC/AFC Bourbon XIII. Bourbon is the 2005 Purina All-Age Field Trial Dog of the Year. He earned his championship in the field and show ring at an early age and was runner-up in the National Brittany All-Age Championship in 2004. DC/AFC Bourbon XIII also has the distinction of winning the American Brittany Club Prairie Chicken Classic two years running. Jasper's daddy is a once in a lifetime Brittany owned by Joseph Jung in Illinois. Bourbon is not only a star on the field trial circuit but he is a companion house dog and personal hunting dog for Joe. DeCan's Jammin' Jasper's mommy is Chickimin-Sunnyvale Melody whose Daddy was FC/AFC Mr. Walker. Mr. Walker was a phenomenal bird and field trial dog owned by Bob and Joan Donnell of Washington State. Melody is now a part of the DeCan household enjoying the hard life hunting chukar, Hungarian partridge and pheasants in Montana. Melody is a bird finding machine who hunts all day with little concern for herself--whether it be bloody pads on her feet or a belly worn raw from the brush--she is wonderful bird dog. Melody taught my two boys 12 and 14 to bird hunt last season--what a time we had coming up on her staunch point to flush coveys of Huns and Shartails. Melody is a bird dog extraordinaire who hangs around the house being "manhandled" by four children. She takes it all in stride along with being an outstanding mother. Amazingly, Jasper’s daddy Bourbon, and mommy Melody, chalk up 7 Dual Champions (Field and Show) and 5 National Brittany Champions to their credit—in only the last two generations!
