Summary:This is indeed an amazing product! My dog quickly learned after only training him with the collar for 7 sessions. For my dog, I particularly used the constant stimulation and the long prongs. The long prongs were really useful since my dog has long hair. I just wished the collar also had a tone setting aside from the buzz. If that were the case, I would have given this 5 stars. Hunting season is just around the corner. I bought the retriever training book for the product to learn more and to maximize the true value of this product. I would highly recommend this product.

Summary:I have been a dog owner of a lot of Golden Retrievers for several years now. But the one I have now is exceptional. He just won’t listen to any of my commands especially if he has hot his attention into someone or something. Even if I shout as loud as I can, he would not “come” if I tell him to. I was searching for a good dog collar to try and fix my problem and a friend of mine suggested the Tri-Tronics Sport Basic G3 Training Collar. I was really surprised to see results after just a few days of using it. The G3 is definitely an excellent collar and it was well within my budget range. I usually use the buzz but I have a convenient option of using the 10 levels of intensity in case he doesn’t respond to it. They put basic on the product’s name but I say this is more than just a basic dog collar. They could have worked more on their instructional video though. I suggest that you should look for other training materials or ask another dog owner who has used this product for additional information about using the collar.

Summary:I previously had an electronic boundary fence/collar system which I used on a previous dog but the Tri-Tronics G3 is the first electronic collar I have bought. I decided to buy this in order to improve the training I am doing on my dog. This review will be on the product itself and not on the training or methods I’ve been doing since I am in no authority to talk about that. I can say that the unit is very well-built. You can see that it is of good quality. The collar and the remote control unit are both waterproof. It is very straight-forward and easy to use and so far, I haven’t encountered any issues with using it. It has excellent range which I think makes the system very flexible with regards to how the owner would want to use it for. However, I have a small issue with regards to its stimulation levels. It has 10 levels (1-5 with ½ increments each). For me, this really isn’t much of an issue but for most dog owners, they would have preferred twice the number of levels. In my opinion, their concern is valid. I am also impressed with the performance of the battery. It holds charge for a long period of time and recharging doesn’t require too much time.

Summary:I’ve read a lot of great reviews about this product. So I finally decided to buy it and use it on my dog. I have a German shepherd who really needs to be trained. I was very excited to use the product on him but I was disappointed with the results. My dog seems to be not feeling the stimulus from the collar. The product came with longer prongs which are intended for long and thick-haired dogs but they seem to be not working on my dog. Based on our experience, he could feel the correction around only 2 out of 10 times. If your dog has short hair, then this product wouldn’t give you any problems. But if you have a long-haired dog like me, better look for another product.
