I’m never using Tri-Tronics Pro 500 on my dog

Summary:First time I used this unit on my dog, he winced in pain. Then he became aggressive and was very hostile even to me. I wasn’t expecting this reaction from him having read a lot of reviews about dog collars saying that the stimulation will not hurt your dog. I guess it doesn’t hold true for all dogs. I’m never using any dog collar on my dog. I will leave it to expert trainers to have my dog trained.

I do not recommend this product to a friend!

Defective collar

Summary:I was looking for the best collar to help me train my dog for obedience. I researched on the internet to find the best collar. I was able to read the specifications of the Pro 500 G3 EXP and was excited to see that it listed a lot of features that I thought would be very helpful for my dog’s training. I bought this online and was very excited to use it for training. I tested it immediately on my dog starting at the lowest setting. My dog didn’t show any sign of recognition that he felt the stimulation. So I thought it was just because the setting was too low. So I gradually increased the setting. But still there was nothing even if we were already halfway the stimulation level. I finally decided to contact customer service to claim that my unit was defective. They had me return the unit and I was later informed that my unit didn’t have any problem and that they were sending it back to me. When it arrived, it still didn’t work on my dog. It was very frustrating! I will not recommend this collar to anyone.
