Tri-Tronics Pro 100 works well

Summary:Before finally settling with the Tri-Tronics Pro 100, we tried a cheaper collar. We thought that why should we spend too much money on a training collar. Somebody should have told us that we were fools for buying a cheap collar. Not only did it not work on our dog, it was very cheaply made that it broke after only the third day. That’s money totally wasted. We should have bought the real thing. Moving on, we finally bought the Pro 100 and it worked well! We were very happy at how effective it was. It helped us train our dog. Not only that, this collar is TOUGH. Even just by looking at it, you’d know that it is durable. You clearly see the quality of the product. This product is worth all the money we spent.

Collar works perfect

Summary:I own a Labrador retriever and I use this collar to train him for hunting. I’ve used other collars but nothing worked on him. I finally found his “weak” spot with this product and everything went well soon after that. During hunting, being able to send the correction to your dog even at a long range is critical and this collar has never failed me. The range is great in various conditions. It has been flawless since day 1. The low, medium and high buttons are really great. It is also fully waterproof. This is a great feature since my dog sometimes takes a swim in the water especially during hot summer days. He does that just to cool off. I let him swim for a while and just push the button if I want him back. I just have quite an issue on the remote. I would have preferred if it were a bit smaller. Other than that, everything is perfect.

Battery issues

Summary:This collar works great. It is very effective with my dogs. I own 2 dogs and both of them respond well to this collar. The product is also very easy to use and it has a lot of features to choose from. I’ve read a lot about this collar and how great it is. I have no issues about how effective it is and about how easy it is to use this. Everything about that is true. My problem is that I can’t seem to charge the batteries full. I’ve read the instructions over and over again and I’m pretty sure I’m doing it right. When the battery runs low or when we completely drain it, I recharge it as instructed. But the battery indicator never shows that it has been fully charged no matter how long I charge it.

Just stopped working

Summary:We bought Tri-Tronics Pro 100 to train our dogs for hunting. We have previously used other collars on our previous dogs but the collars are no longer working. We’ve just recently acquired new dogs so we chose this collar to train them. Training was great. They quickly learned the basic commands in just 2 days. But after a week, the collar just stopped working. We would switch it on and it would work for about a minute then it would just shut down. When we try to recharge it, the indicator would show that the battery is full. When we switch it back on, it is working again and would again switch off after a minute. It was a very frustrating experience. I will never buy this brand again. Steer clear from this product.

Summary:I was really happy at first with Tri-Tronics Pro 100. The controller was great and the collar fit my dog perfectly. Also, you have a lot of stimulation levels to choose from. So basically, you have flexibility depending on your dog’s temperament. I have a very timid dog but just needed to be taught some basic commands. She responded well with this collar which is great. But the collar just stopped working after a week. I tried to recharge it for a full day but still it didn’t work. Tri-Tronics made it impossible for me to get a free return and exchange for the item. Clearly, I got a defective unit.
