Stop your dog from barking

Summary:I am very grateful to the PetSafe Trainer. It helped me train my dog to stop barking. Before this collar, I had a problem with my dog barking a lot. He would keep me up all night whenever he was on a “barking spree”. I’m not sure what ticks him off but once he starts barking, nothing can stop him. I’ve had several complaints from our neighbors but what else can I do? I should have bought this collar earlier. It could have saved me from all those troubles. This was the best thing that ever happened to me and my dog. It is very effective and I am very pleased with it. No more sleepless nights, no more complaints from the neighbors. This collar has changed my life. Thanks PetSafe!

Summary:PDT00-13410 collar is good. It is effective on my dog and it has great features. But a collar is only good if it works. And this collar doesn’t work all the time. I’ve previously used a collar and I didn’t have these problems with it. I had to buy this new collar since my previous collar already stopped working after a few years of use. I think the problem is with the metal clips for the batteries inside the remote. I think they are not sturdy enough such that sometimes the remote will completely shut off. When this happens, I have to switch the unit completely off and wait for a few minutes before switching it off again. If you are trying to train your pup, you wouldn’t want this to happen, right? Any interruption will hamper the training process. I’m going to call customer service and demand for a refund.

PDT00-13410 collar really works

Summary:I could hardly believe it at first but in just a few hours of training, our dog has learned how to use this collar. He quickly understood what the collar was about. It was like I have a completely new dog. Not the stubborn one, but a very obedient one! After a few training sessions, we only had to show him the remote and he would immediately be at attention. And we only had to use the stimulation only a few times. Now, we only use the tone. It was simply amazing. Words are not enough to express how happy and satisfied I am with this product. Before this product, our dog was very stubborn. He wouldn’t listen to us. It was as if he was in control. This product completely changed that. Everything about this product is perfect. The batteries are working fine and the unit is very easy to use. It was money well spent!

Doesn’t get my dog’s attention

Summary:I started with the lowest setting at first and worked my way up. I was afraid that I would hurt my dog if I use the strong level immediately. But I finally reached the highest setting but my dog seemed not to mind it at all. I only got a very slight flinch and that was it. So I settled with that setting. It was working okay inside our house. I was able to teach him basic commands. But once we are out and he gets distracted by anything, the collar is useless. I’m still giving it 3 stars since I was able to teach him a lot of commands. And the batteries are great. They last long and recharging is very easy.

Cons:Not work outside area

Durability issue

Summary:I bought PetSafe about 4 months ago. I bought this to help me teach my dog basic commands. Before this collar, I couldn’t even tell my dog to come when called, especially when we are out in wide open areas. The collar did help me train my dog. I only had to “shock” him a few times. After that, the beep was enough for him. It was effective and it was very simple to operate. I got this as recommended by a colleague who also had the same problem with her dog as mine. However, after a few times of use (I think we’ve only used it for around 20 instances), the unit just stopped working. At first it would just suddenly shut off but it would switch back on after a while. But after a few days, it completely stopped working
