Summary:I’ve never been so wowed in my entire life by a dog collar. I never thought I would be able to train my dog in just one try. I know there’s still a lot of work to do after that first training day but the improvement was very significant. Thanks Dogtra!

Great for stubborn dogs

Summary:We have a dog that has a mind of his own. He only follows our commands whenever he wants to. Otherwise, you won’t get his attention whatever you do. During our first few training sessions, I had to use the higher level of stimulation but eventually, I turned it down until we finally stopped using the stimulation on him completely. I still have to put the collar on him though. Sometimes he still disobeys me if he is not wearing the collar. I’m not giving up on him. I know he’ll learn to follow all my commands even without wearing the collar. I’m also impressed with the workmanship of the product. It looks like it can withstand rough handling. It is also great that you can charge both the collar and the controller at the same time. The batteries work well contrary to other reviews. This product is perfect!

Training was fun

Summary:We initially wanted to enroll our dogs for training so we went out and searched for the best trainer for them. We stumbled upon this trainer who surprisingly recommended that we try training our dogs ourselves first and she recommended this collar. After careful thought, we decided to follow her advice. We bought the Dogtra EDGE since it was expandable up to 4 dogs and we own 3 dogs now. Training was fun. It was surprisingly easy to teach our dogs to comply and we only used the vibrate feature. There was never a need to use the shock on them. It was a wonderful feeling to know that you are in control over your dogs. I’m happy that we followed her advice. Training our dogs was such a wonderful experience for all of us. It made us feel closer to our dogs.

Great for one-handed operation

Summary:I’m very particular with how I need to operate the collar system that I’m using especially during hunting. I prefer systems that allow me to use a single hand to operate them since I’m usually holding something else in my other hand such as a gun during hunting. The Dogtra EDGE fits this requirement. The design of the controller allows you to use your fingers or thumb to operate the stimulation buttons. All the other features can be operated using one hand only. I just love this product!

This collar saved my dog’s life

Summary:The Dogtra EDGE series all include location lights which allow you to spot your dogs even in dark environments. You can easily track their movements which is very useful if you have more than one dog running at night. This neat feature probably saved my dog’s life. We were hunting ducks and my dog apparently wandered away from our camping site. He was nearing the road when I noticed his locator light. I immediately pressed the “nick” button and he quickly ran towards me. I don’t want to think about what could have happened if I didn’t see his light. He could have crossed the street. It wasn’t a busy road but who knows what could have happened. This collar is for keeps.
