Battery drains easily

Summary:The GPS feature on this product is actually okay. However, if the battery is not working well it’s going to be useless. I was actually having fun using it but it dies on you. After only 4 hours of continuous use, the battery dies. I’ve also noticed that it is really slow to charge. When you are an avid hunter, these are major issues. You would want something that could last long enough. Otherwise, you need to carry an extra battery on you. Charging time is also important. Fast charging is very much preferred especially if you are pressed for time.
Pros:Best Feature
Cons:Dead Battery

Summary:I was looking for a good tracking collar that I can use during coon hunting. I finally decided to buy the Astro 320. I was really looking forward to using it especially its GPS tracking feature. When I held it in my hand, I felt it was a bit too big for comfort but I easily let it pass since I was hoping that the other features will blow me away and this slight hitch will be nothing compared to them. But when I tried using it on the field, I noticed that it can barely hold its range. I lost the signal without even reaching the 1 mile mark. I also needed to frequently recalibrate the compass which is very tedious for me. I’m really getting frustrated each time I have to recalibrate. Also, the downloadable maps are not all free. In my opinion, I’ve paid enough money to merit all free maps. I’ve used better products than this.
