House GOP to Focus on Guns, Conservative-Backed Measures

Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives are planning to vote on bills this summer and fall involving guns, abortion, religion and other issues that are aimed at improving the party's chances in midterm elections, FOX News reports. Pro-gun bills include a measure that would prohibit confiscation of legal firearms during emergencies.

Kansas Eligible to Apply for Concealed Carry

Range Owner Sues New York Police Commissioner

A shooting range owner in New York City who was arrested last month as part of the city's anit-gun initiative sued the city's police commissioner, reports the New York Post. The lawsuit, filed by Michael Spallone, co-owner of the Woodhaven Rifle & Pistol Range, demands the return of clients' gun licenses and says the "sting" was nothing but a mayoral publicity stunt. Spallone was charged with a misdemeanor on May 24 for allegedly "delivering" a handgun to a civilian undercover investigator.
