House Passes ATF Reform Bill

With a 277-131 vote, the U.S. House of Representatives last week passed HR 5092, the "Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Modernization and Reform Act of 2006."

Club Owners See Trapshooting Growth

Gun club owners say they have seen significant growth in trapshooting's popularity over the last few years, a trend being partly attributed to NSSF's Scholastic Clay Target Program, reports the Myrtle Beach Sun. Because of SCTP, which partners with the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA), youngsters and entire families have taken up the sport, says Terry Heeg, editor-in-chief of Trap & Field magazine.
