Helping You Get the Most From Your Hunting Dogs

| Garmin Delta Intensity Levels
In this article we will explain the difference between the Momentary (M) and Continuous (C) stimulation levels for the Garmin Delta and Garmin Delta Sport Collars. The Delta system comes with both the momentary (M) and
continuous (C) stimulation features. In momentary stimulation, the dog gets a
brief correction no matter how long you press the stimulation button. On the
other hand, continuous stimulation will administers the correction on the dog
the whole time you press the button but only until eight seconds. Generally,
stimulations are given at less than eight seconds. You can choose from eight levels of intensity which gradually increased from 1 to 18. If you don’t want to shock your dog, you can opt for the tone (T) or vibrate (V) modes. The tone feature will send an audible sound instead of a shock to your dog. Some dog owners use this mode as a positive training cue while others use this for negative cues. It actually depends on your training program. The vibrate mode sends a short vibration to your dog instead of a stimulation. Not all dogs respond to this mode very well. It depends greatly on the dog’s disposition and experience. | |
