Working Toward A "Clean" Bill When HR 800, the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, recently passed through the House Judiciary committee to consideration by the full House, several attempts to amend the bill were defeated. This critically-needed legislation will help protect lawful businesses from predatory lawsuits. It's important that the bill or S. 397, its counterpart in the Senate, be passed without changes that would weaken its chances for approval by the Congress. When contacting your Senators, be sure to let them know how important this legislation is to protecting American jobs and uniquely American hunting and sport shooting traditions, and that a "clean" bill without amendments is needed for passage.
