Women of Steel In a story that is increasingly common, the Naples (Fla.) Daily News chronicles the rise in women taking up shooting and becoming regular customers at local shooting ranges and gun clubs. There's nothing unusual about it, says one women, "I love my kids and I love being able to pick them up at school and make their ham and cheese sandwiches. And I like to shoot guns. And I like to feel strong. There's a lot of women like me." Not surprisingly, sales of firearms, particularly handguns, appear to be strong this year. In a Kansas City Star story some retailers are reporting a record year for sales due to the state's new law allowing concealed carry.
