Women Shooters Make the News

The rise in participation of women shooters across the nation is not escaping the notice of newspapers. The Boston Globe delivered a colorful insight to Ladies Night at the Manchester (N.H.) Firing Line shooting range, where the appeal of the activity is so popular with females that men are often closed out because of a lack of range availability. In Maine, Genie Jennings took up her husband's trap shooting hobby last year, and now she has become the Maine coordinator for the Second Amendment Sisters. She hosted the organization's first shooting course for women last year, and she's organizing it again this year, reports Maine Today. The Arizona Republic "Living" section addressed women readers who are “thinking about getting started in shooting but don't know where to begin” by offering them a rundown on several all-female shooting associations in the area.
