Women's Interest Growing The “2004 Outdoor Recreation Participation Study for the United States” identifies women among four key outdoor-related markets with the highest potential for growth in the next two years. According to the study, conducted by Leisure Trend Group of Boulder, Colorado, women are also the fastest-growing component of the shooting sports and hunting industries. One factor reportedly responsible for this growth is an emphasis on the physical and emotional benefits of spending time outdoors. Currently, more than 2 million women hunt in the United States every year and 4 million women target shoot.
