Wisconsin Senate Overrides Veto The Wisconsin Senate overrode Gov. Jim Doyle’s veto of a concealed carry bill on Thursday with a 23-10 vote. The Assembly will next decide on whether to override the bill. It would allow those who pass a firearms training course and obtain a permit to carry concealed firearms, as well as knives, electric shock defense mechanisms and clubs. Wisconsin is one of four states that bans concealed weapons.
