Wisconsin Bill Simplifies Transport Of Hunting Arms

A Wisconsin legislator has introduced a bill to ease burdensome restrictions on the transportation of firearms.

Senate Bill 442 sponsored by Sen. Russell Decker, D-Weston, would allow sportsmen to travel between hunting locations without casing their unloaded firearms and bows. Currently, drivers can be fined if such equipment is transported by automobile without a case.

The bill awaits action in the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Transportation.
