Vermont Acts Against Nuisance Lawsuits

If you don’t like the sound of gunfire, don’t move near a shooting range. That’s what Vermont’s legislature and governor are telling citizens via a new law meant to cut the growing number of nuisance lawsuits against ranges. The law specifies that people who live next to pre-existing shooting ranges and gun clubs cannot successfully sue over noise pollution complaints as long as those facilities are following all applicable state and local laws.
