USA's Team For World Championships Completed

With the conclusion of the double trap and skeet events at the 2006 Spring Selection Match, USA Shooting has announced the final members of the U.S. Shotgun Team that will compete at the 2006 World Shooting Championships in Croatia July 22-Aug. 5. The scores at this match, held at the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center in Kerrville, Texas, were added to those achieved at the Fall Selection Match to determine the team members. Finishing first in men’s skeet was 2004 Olympian Sgt. First Class Shawn Dulohery of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit. Other first-place finishers were Hunter Wise, Coleman, Texas, junior men’s skeet; Haley Dunn, Eddyville, Iowa, women’s skeet; and Emily Blount, Tucson, Ariz., women’s junior skeet. The top three in each event make the squad, which allowed third-place finisher teen phenom Vincent Hancock, the International Male Shooter of the Year, to earn a spot on the junior men’s skeet team after recovering from a disappointing fall event. Taking first in the double trap events were Josh Richmond of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in the men’s division and Gregory Patton of Williamsport, Pa. in the junior men’s competition.
