Survey: Ranges See Third-Quarter Increases

According to NSSF's latest quarterly Range Consumption Report, 46 percent of ranges offering handgun target shooting experienced an increase in the number of customers/visitors between July and September compared to the same period last year. Some other findings: 53 percent of ranges with sporting clays and/or 5-stand reported an increase in rounds sold, ranges offering trap/skeet threw an average of 68,050 targets and 6.5 percent of ranges reported an increase in the number of local, state, and/or federal regulations imposed on their facility. Each quarter, NSSF produces a Range Consumption Report based on surveys of participating ranges. A full copy of the report is available only to ranges that participate in the survey. To participate, ranges can send an e-mail to fbriganti@nssf.org with a name, range name, phone number and e-mail address.
