SCTP Youth Makes Virginia History

Ryan Tribble, 15, a participant in NSSF's Scholastic Clay Target Program, became the first skeet shooter in Virginia history to hit 100 targets in four shotgun divisions -- 12 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge and .410 caliber -- all at the same event, reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch. When he hit the final target in the .410 class of the open skeet competition in Chase City, shooters young and old surrounded Tribble to congratulate him. At the recent SCTP National Skeet and Sporting Clays Championships in New York, Tribble hit 198 of 200 in skeet. His team finished in second place, one target shy of first.
