SCTP Skeet and Sporting Clays Nationals

NSSF's widely successful Scholastic Clay Target Program will hold its national skeet and sporting clays championships this weekend at Rochester Brooks Trap and Skeet Club in Rush, N.Y. SCTP now includes more than 8,000 youths from nearly 40 states. The program began six years ago as solely a trapshooting program, but was later expanded to include skeet and sporting clays. All three disciplines have seen monumental increases in participation over the past two years. SCTP's national trapshooting championships, which attracted a record 1,564 youths to Vandalia, Ohio, last year, are scheduled for Aug. 8-9 at the Grand American World Trapshooting Championships in Sparta, Ill.
