Romance Writers Learn About Guns

The Second Amendment Foundation and NSSF teamed up to provide a Firearms and Fiction Seminar for more than 100 romance novelists attending the Kiss of Death Chapter of the Romance Writers of America Conference in Atlanta. The writers learned about modern firearms and their capabilities, concealed carry laws and avoiding and defending oneself against personal and property crime, plus had a live-fire experience at the Bullseye Marksman Range and Store in Cummings, Ga. Among the presenters were Alan Gottlieb and Joe Tartaro of the Second Amendment Foundation, Peggy Tartaro who edits Women & Guns magazine, Shari LeGate representing NSSF, Gila Hayes author of "Effective Defense," Chris Edwards of Glock, Celia Crane of LaserMax and Tim Bollig of Advanced Interactive Systems. "They were a very appreciative and engaged group that asked intelligent questions about ballistics, proper handling and proper storage," said LeGate.
