Range, Retailer Seminars Held in Arizona NSSF held the first of its newly developed Range Education Seminars last week in Phoenix. The seminar was attended by range owners and managers and covered topics like increasing range traffic, enhancing community relations and effectively using proven programs to increase customer bases. Future regional seminars are being planned. Also in Phoenix last week, NSSF, ATF and the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) teamed up for the year's final "Partnership for Progress" seminar. The seminar educated nearly 100 federal firearms licensees (FFLs) on the rules and regulations governing the sale and transfer of firearms and how to better detect and deter illegal straw purchases. NSSF and ATF have conducted more than 50 of the seminars over the past six years.
