Pledge Establishes Gunsmith/Gunmaking Endowment A generous personal pledge of $500,000 from MidwayUSA, Inc.’s president and his wife has been made to the NRA Foundation for the establishment of a new NRA Gunsmith/Gunmaking Education Endowment. “I believe it is essential to the Second Amendment and preserving our firearms heritage that we encourage more people to get involved in the firearms industry,” said Larry Potterfield, who along with his wife, Brenda, committed the ½ million dollars to support the efforts of colleges and universities that offer gunsmithing programs in expanding and improving their course offerings and facilities.
