Ohio Sends Bill To Gov.

With a 33-0 vote, the Ohio Senate unanimously approved a bill last week that will create an apprentice hunting license. The bill—HB 296—now heads to Gov. Bob Taft. The apprentice license would allow parents and other qualified, adult hunters to introduce others to hunting before they complete a hunter education course. The bill is part of the Families Afield initiative of NSSF, the National Wild Turkey Federation and U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance.
