New York Candidate Pledges Clinton-Style Gun Control

A good example of why it's important for sportsmen to know where their candidates stand on firearm issues is a report that Andrew Cuomo, candidate for New York Attorney General, has come out pledging a return to Clinton-style gun control if elected. Cuomo cited the Clinton-Gore gun control model whereby civil suits were filed by municipalities against firearms manufacturers for the criminal misuse of their products by third parties. This litigation forced one manufacturer (now under different ownership) to strike a deal with the government accepting restrictions on the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of their firearms.
