NSSF Increases Support For Trailblazer Program

NSSF on Wednesday donated $100,000 to the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance’s (USSA) Trailblazer Adventure Program. NSSF is a longtime supporter of the program, which introduces youths and families to outdoor activities such as shooting and hunting. "The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance Trailblazer Adventure Program provides an introduction for thousands of youngsters and their families who otherwise might not have had the opportunity to learn about hunting and shooting and the sportsman’s role in conservation," said NSSF senior vice president Chris Dolnack. Dolnack presented USSA with a check at its board of directors and trustees spring meeting in Ft. Worth, Texas. "We are proud to have the NSSF's continued support of the Trailblazer Adventure Program to help introduce urban and suburban youngsters and their families to our hunting and shooting traditions," said Bud Pidgeon, USSA president and CEO. The program, which has reached nearly a quarter of a million participants since its inception in 2001, is endorsed by NSSF's STEP OUTSIDE program. Read more.
