NSSF Appoints R&R Manager, Range Promotions Director

NSSF has announced the appointment of Cyndi Dalena as director of shooting range promotions and Melissa Schilling as recruitment and retention manager. In her new role, Dalena will work with members of NSSF's National Association of Shooting Ranges (NASR) to develop range promotions designed to increase target shooting participation, create educational seminars for range operators and direct research and test-marketing projects related to the operation and promotion of shooting sports facilities. She will also oversee NSSF sponsorship and participation in national and regional events and NSSF's First Shots program, which partners with ranges to introduce newcomers to handgun shooting. Previously, Dalena served as NSSF's director of shooting sports development. As NSSF's new recruitment and retention manager, Schilling will oversee a number of NSSF efforts aimed at recruiting and retaining participants in hunting and the shooting sports. She will oversee NSSF's Hunting Heritage Partnership, Families Afield and STEP OUTSIDE programs and will manage NSSF participation in national and regional events pertaining to recruitment and retention. Previously, Schilling served as national coordinator of STEP OUTSIDE, helping the program reach nearly 500,000 newcomers to hunting, shooting, fishing and archery.
