Looking for a Retraction Robert Marcus, owner and operator of Bob's Gun Shop in Norfolk, Va., is exploring legal action against the Virginian-Pilot newspaper over an article which claimed the store sold "most" of the firearms involved in an alleged gun trafficking operation ("11 charged in Virginia-to-New York gunrunning scheme," July 22, 2006). Marcus is hoping the newspaper will print a retraction, asserting that the U.S. attorney's indictment made clear only two firearms were bought at his store, but fears damage to his business' reputation is already done. Bob's Gun Shop has been in business for 61 years.
