Baton Rouge-based Lipsey's Inc., a major wholesale distributor of firearms, has been awarded the 2005 Douglas Manship Sr. Torch Award by the Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana. The award honors businesses that exhibit the highest ethical standards of behavior toward customers, suppliers, employees and the community. "As the third generation in my family to run the business, I've been taught that the biggest asset we have is our employees and never lose sight of that. I know my father, Richard Lipsey, echoes my comments and we all thank him for his incredible leadership at our company and in the community," said Lipsey's president Laurie Lipsey Aronson.
