Lipsey Named SHOT Business Man Of The Year Richard Lipsey, chairman and CEO of Lipsey’s Inc., a family-owned firearms distributor based in Baton Rouge, La., was named SHOT Business magazine’s Man of the Year at the Time4 Outdoors breakfast at the SHOT Show last Thursday. Lipsey, whose company was also named Distributor of the Year, has been an active member of his professional and local communities and played a selfless role in rescue efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Other recipients of SHOT Business awards presented by Slaton White, editor of SHOT Business, included: Smith & Wesson, Company of the Year; Larry Ahlman of Ahlman’s Guns, Morristown, Minn., Retailer of the Year; S&W’s Ken Sedlecky, Sales Organization/Manufacturer’s Rep of the Year; and H&H Gun Range, co-owned by Miles and Jayne Hall, named the first Range of the Year.
