Lindenwood Cleans Up At College Shotgun Championships

Shotgun teams from Lindenwood University dominated the field at the recent Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Intercollegiate Clay Target Championships. Teams from the St. Charles, Mo., school placed 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th at the event. Texas A&M finished second overall. Ryan Caferelli, a former competitor in NSSF's Scholastic Clay Target Program, took first place in individual American skeet for Lindenwood. The event, held August 5-9 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, included shooters from more than 20 colleges and universities competing in international trap, international skeet, American trap, American skeet and sporting clays. NSSF is a major sponsor of the annual event. The competition will air in June on ESPN U and may also be simulcast on ESPN2. Dates and air times will be announced soon.
