Letter Regarding Child Safety Lock Act Of 2005





ATF has posted an open letter to firearms dealers on its Web site regarding the "Child Safety Lock Act of 2005," which became effective April 24. The law, which is Section 5 of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, requires licensed firearms retailers to provide a safety device to all handgun purchasers.
