Last Stand for Long Island Range Sportsmen's outcry has helped keep the Suffolk County Trap & Skeet Range on Long Island, N.Y., operating, but unless another outpouring of support for the range is displayed before tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 EDT, the range could face permanent closure by the county legislature. The bill to close the range, passed from the parks and recreation committee without a recommendation, will go before that full legislature on Tuesday.
