Knife Owners' Advocacy Group Formed Though the firearms industry has long been the target of some misguided legislators who seek unreasonably restrictive laws, advocacy groups such as NSSF and NRA are there as watchguards. The publication of a “Wall Street Journal” article made clear the desire of a vocal and well-financed minority to similarly focus on knife owners, and the response of concerned citizens has been the creation of the United States Knife & Tool Association to oppose any move to restrict knife ownership and carry. The organization’s efforts hope to complement the industry organization, the American Knife and Tool Institute, and concentrate on advocacy and services for the knife owner.
