IHEA Appoints New Executive Vice President Gary Berlin, who recently retired from a quarter of a century of service to the Colorado Department of Wildlife, has begun a new career as leader of the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA). IHEA is the official organization representing the interests of state, provincial and federal hunter education coordinators and 70,000 hunter education instructors who teach approximately 750,000 students each year. Among Berlin’s responsibilities, which officially began on March 20, are directing the affairs of the IHEA office and staff and annual and long-range strategic planning, as well as developing partnerships within the outdoor industry and conservation groups.
