Health Official: Thumbs down on PETA Pilgrim Thanksgiving

PETA’s plot to use scantily clad “sexy pilgrims” to promote veganism in Casper, Wyoming hit a snag when the county health department ordered the models to “cease and desist” passing out Tofurky samples.

The director of the county health department, Bob Harrington, told the PETA activists that they did not have a temporary permit to pass out food and that they needed to stop handing out the samples of Tofurky to bystanders. According to Harrington, temporary food events play a large role in disease outbreaks since the food may not have been properly stored.

Instead of the food samples, the PETA pilgrims went ahead and distributed vegan literature. There was no word on how many people took the Tofurky samples before the promotion was shut down.
