Gun-Rights Advocates Voice Discontent in D.C. Case

With the decision of the U.S. Department of Justice to call for, via a friend-of-the-court brief, the U.S. Supreme Court to send back to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia that lower court's final ruling in the Washington, D.C. v. Heller case, firearms rights advocates have been loudly voicing their discontent. Of issue is the department's view that while the Second Amendment does protect an individual right, the case should go back to the lower court to apply a different standard of review.
