First Shots On Target NSSF’s program designed to promote handgunning through seminars and hands-on activities covering safety, technique and rules and regulations has been a winner since its initial program in October. Surveys of participants at four First Shots locations indicated that 52 percent had never fired a handgun before the event and 92 percent were likely to continue handgunning. Subsequent enrollment in memberships, instruction and classes bears that out. The program provides range-owner support to advertise and conduct a First Shots event.
