Firearm Dealer Pleads Guilty The owner and operator of Newman’s Gun Shop in Osceola, Ind., last week pled guilty to making false, fraudulent and fictitious statements regarding multiple firearms transactions. ATF forms were falsified, which is a criminal act. NSSF senior vice president and general counsel Lawrence G. Keane said, "By carefully following the law, licensed firearm dealers play an important role in reducing criminal misuse of firearms. Those rare few who abuse their FFL not only commit a crime themselves, they also give our entire industry, as well as sportsmen and gun owners, a black eye."
