Feds May Expand Hunting Opportunities The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed adding or expanding hunting opportunities on seven national wildlife refuges. The proposals, impacting four states, were published in the Federal Register on July 24. A public comment period will end August 16. "We are committed to expanding hunting and fishing opportunities wherever we can," said agency director H. Dale Hall. In 2005, approximately 2.3 million Americans hunted on national wildlife refuges.
