Dakota Arms Files for Chapter 11 Firearms manufacturer Dakota Arms, of Sturgis, S.D., has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. In a press release, the company described the action as being “in the best long-term interests of Dakota Arms’ customers, creditors and employees because is will allow the company to continue operating as it resolves its financial challenges.” Company officials are hoping that Dakota Arms will emerge from bankruptcy within a year, reports the Associated Press.
