Creating Demand for Hunter Safety Classes

The ink is barely dry on Michigan's new youth hunting program, but parents are already signing their kids up for hunter safety classes at rapid rates, writes Tim Kobasic, an outdoor writer and hunter safety instructor from Escanaba. "Since the laws were passed, my home phone has been ringing daily with mothers and fathers wanting to know if they can get their kids into a class." The new law is part of Families Afield, an NSSF-backed initiative to open doors for young hunters and their families.
