Challenges for Home-Based FFL's According to a story in the South Bend Tribune, the zoning commission is increasingly fielding requests from "gun hobbyists" for permits to operate a firearms business out of their homes, and neighbors are raising objections. Due to relatively new federal regulations, the local permits are now required before an individual can obtain a federal firearms license.
