| Billboard Prompts Story
Despite what a prominent billboard near Fenway Park in Boston says about illegal guns coming into the city from Maine, the majority of guns used in crime in Boston come from within Massachusetts, according to a Portland Herald story. Says Paula Silsby, U.S. Attorney for the District of Maine, "When you go to the extent of putting up a billboard blaming crime in Boston on another state, I think the rhetoric has gotten a little heated." The rhetoric should come as no surprise since the billboard was paid for by John Rosenthal and Stop Handgun Violence, the political force behind Massachusetts' strict gun control laws. | |
