Bill Lets Wildlife Agency Promote Hunting

A key tool in wildlife management, which is a responsibility imparted to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, is sport hunting. Yet, often, when initiatives are advanced by anti-hunting interests, agencies are muzzled from promoting hunting. The muzzle will come off in New Hampshire with passage of Senate Bill 105, which authorizes the director of the state's Fish and Game Department to run promotions that encourage people to hunt, fish and trap. The bill has moved out of committee and is bound for the floor of the state's House of Representatives. The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance is urging Granite State residents to call their representative at (603) 271-2548 or use the Legislative Action Center at www.ussportsmen.org.
