Arizona Gun Safety

Inspired by the example of kids as young as 10 safely competing in the Scholastic Clay Target Program and supported by Arizona gun rights activist Alan Korwin, a state senator's proposal to require an elective course in shooting be offered for credit towards a high school diploma has been signed into law. The course requires a shooting component, assuring that the curriculum will include safe handling of firearms and not be used as a class to scare students about the safe use of recreational firearms.
