Another Anti-Gun Mayor Turned Criminal

Former Atlanta mayor Bill Campbell, who in 1999 made an unsuccessful attempt at suing the firearms industry, was sentenced Tuesday to 2 1/2 years in prison for tax evasion, reports the Associated Press. Campbell joins former Bridgeport, Conn., mayor Joseph Ganim and ex-Camden, N.J., mayor Milton Milan on a growing list of anti-gun mayors turned criminals. Campbell, Ganim and Milan all unsuccessfully filed junk lawsuits against the industry seven years ago. Ganim, convicted on federal corruption charges, is serving a 9-year prison sentence. Milan, also found guilty of corruption, is serving 7 years.
