Americans Medal At World Cup USA

Two more representatives of the United States took home medals for their performances at the World Cup USA competition at the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center in Kerrville, Texas. Sgt. First Class Theresa DeWitt of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit battled stiff winds to take a silver medal for her second-place finish in women’s trap, securing an Olympic quota spot for USA Shooting, the governing body for America’s Olympic shooting participation. A one-bird difference in DeWitt’s qualifying score separated her from the gold medal, taken by China’s Mei Zhu. Dominic Grazioli of San Antonio, Texas, won the bronze medal for his third-place finish in men’s trap. He was tied for fourth after the qualifier and tied for third overall. Grazioli persevered to clinch the bronze after a seven-target shoot-off.
