Aiming For No-Net Hunting Land Loss

Following on the heels of Illinois, Georgia and Maryland, all of which have enacted laws requiring compensatory hunting areas be opened when public lands are closed to hunting, Pennsylvania and Oregon have introduced similar bills in their state legislatures. The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance, which introduced a similar, but unsuccessful bill, on the federal level, is urging sportsmen in the two states to contact their state legislators. Pennsylvanians in support of HB 1576 should call (717) 787-2372. Oregonians should call (503) 986-1000 to show support for HB 2529.
